8 kms west of Lagos, also has in its vicinity many spectacular villas dotted with Mediterranean plants such as hibiscus,oleander and bougainvillaea.The sheltered beach is well suited for children and is
enclosed by a large,dark rock massif on the one side,and a small villa community on the other.The beach has a good choice of water sports and there are four golf courses and a riding centre close by. In the village itself, Praia da Luz has a wide choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
Praia da Luz is a typical fishing village with cobbled streets and a laid back atmosphere.Holiday developments have grown up in sympathy with their surroundings allowing the resort to retain much of its original character.Holiday accommodation is largely self-catering and upmarket villas with a few quality hotels.
Praia Da Luz area is approximately one hour drive from Faro airport.
